Commonly used with Matthews Telescoping Hangers. Telescoping Hangers have a very substantial pipe clamp to attach to a lighting grid. The pipe clamp has been slightly offset to allow the riser or drop down tube to slide up when there is sufficient room between the grid and the ceiling. It is therefore possible for a 3' Single Extension Hanger to be able to go from a few inches below the grid to the fully extended 3 feet. MSE Telescoping Hangers are available in single stage and double stage. MSE Hangers are engineered with an internal mechanical stop which will prohibit the Riser from falling through should the lock off knob be inadvertently released. When properly used MSE Hangers are the safest in the business!
